Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the bombings that took place yesterday during the Boston Marathon. In the hours that have followed the initial acts designed to inflict harm, we are heartened by the many acts of lovingkindness springing forward from menschen throughout this great city: first responders caring for the wounded; communities of faith and conscience coming together to comfort the bereaved and grief-stricken; marathoners and other concerned citizens donating blood; Bostonians opening their homes to marathon runners and visitors; students, staff, family and friends reaching out in love and concern, etc. etc.
Northeastern Hillel invites you to take a moment to connect with friends old and new, meeting some friendly visiting therapy dogs at our 70 St. Stephen St. location tonight at 6 pm. It is a sign of great strength to seek support, and we hope that you’ll join us to both give and receive love, with the 2- and 4-legged friends who will be gathered at Hillel House tonight.
If you’d like to speak with the Jewish Spiritual Life Advisor, please be in touch with Arinne Braverman at: 617-650-2124. You can make an appointment to be sure to connect, or just drop by the Hillel House tomorrow and ask to speak with a member of the Hillel staff.
May G-d’s peace and healing presence comfort all who are suffering.
