    Join the Holocaust Awareness Committee and the Northeastern Humanities Center today at noon for a screening of "From Swastika to Jim Crow," a fascinating documentary about Jewish academics provided with refuge from Nazism by historically black colleges in the American South. A panel discussion with Northeastern faculty members will follow.

    Letter from the Student President

     

    Dear Parents,

     

    My name is Arthur Maserjian and I am the President of Hillel. This semester is going to be a great one! We have started off with exciting welcome week events that will lead in to other social, freshmen, and religious programming. Along with our weekly free Shabbat dinners and services, Hillel provides other opportunities including community service events, our Mentor program, and holiday events. All students are welcome at any time to take part in events at Hillel. It is our goal to make Hillel a truly vibrant Center for Jewish Life on Campus.

     

    This semester we have new ways for parents to participate. Is your student away for the High Holidays? Send them apples and honey! Are they feeling under the weather? We’ll deliver homemade chicken soup to them. Studying hard for finals? Send them a care package to let them know you’re thinking of them!

     

    We want to thank you for your generous support. We couldn’t be where we are without your help. Please keep in touch. If you’re on Facebook, please join us!
