KOSHER ON CAMPUS

On campus students have access to Kosher dining at International Village. The dining hall Kosher Station is Meat - Glatt Kosher under KVH Certification.

Weekly Shabbat dinners, Holiday meals, as well the snacks served by Hillel are always kosher!

Additionally, the Hillel House is fully equipped with a kosher meat and dairy kitchen. If you would like to use the kitchens please reach out to Jen Stone at Jen.stone@northeastern.edu

RESIDENCE LIFE

Students needing access to Shomer Shabbat housing can work directly with the Residence Life department at the University to ensure technology free access for Shabbat observant accommodations.

ACADEMICS

Northeastern University offers a minor in Jewish Studies; and encompasses religion, history, culture, Israel Studies and Holocaust Studies.

Northeastern University Hillel provides a wide array of opportunities for new students. With internships, work study, leadership, learning, student led communities, and events every week, there are so many ways to get involved!

FYSH (First Year Students At Hillel)

A committee for freshman who want to be involved in planning events and activities for fellow freshman!
Networking

A group of Jewish students who host events connecting current students, Northeastern alumni, and local professionals.
Tikkun Olam Co

This group plans and hosts community service events. Its purpose is to enable Jewish students to give back to the community.
Greek Life

Unites Jewish members of 14+ fraternities and sororities on campus with regular events!
Hillel Sisterhood

Our Hillel sisterhood hosts a female empowerment events and encourages women in our community to come together!
21+

This group is for Jewish students who are 21 years or older to find Jewish relevance in community and enjoying Shabbat dinner together.
Challah For Hunger

This group bakes challah twice a month at Hillel and sells it on campus. The proceeds go to those in need! Challah For Hunger loves to partner with other groups and bake colorful loaves that match our Shabbat themes.
Mishalenu

This committee is for Jewish students who have Israeli roots. The purpose of it is to give them a space to connect through their shared culture and language.
Keshet (LGBTQ+)

This committee unites Jewish students who identify as LGBTQ. They host LGBTQ events that are open to members of this community and their allies.
Nefesh/Reform Jews at Hillel.

Nefesh is a group of students who create community and lead services that use the Reform movement's prayer book and expand from there using poetic readings, musical instruments, and creative teachings to foster a dynamic spiritual experience for Jewish students of all backgrounds. Weekly Friday Service 5:45 PM
Koleinu/Conservative Jews at Hillel

Koleinu is a group of students who create community and lead services that use the Conservative Movement prayer book and expand from there, drawing from all parts of the traditional egalitarian Jewish world with melodies, prayers, and teachings to create a compelling prayer experience for Jewish students seeking a more traditional experience. Weekly Friday service at 6 p.m. Shabbat Morning Services and Havdalah services.
Jewish Learning Fellowship

Students participate in a 10 week Torah study and discussions program led by our rabbinic intern and/or Jewish educators. Pre-registration is required. All participants earn a stipend at the end of the semester. (Meets weekly)
Israel Learning Fellowship

This learning fellowship focuses on historical and cultural aspects of Israel. Students meet once a week as a cohort to expand their knowledge on the holy land.
Campus Engagement Internship (CEI)

The CEI is for students who are interested in engaging other Jewish students and introducing them to Jewish life on campus.
Israel Engagement Interns

These student interns help recruit for our Birthright Israel trip. They engage new students to come to Hillel and participate in Israel programming.
Student Leadership Board

These students hold executive leadership roles. They are the ambassadors of our community and help support general programming.
Make it Happen Fund

Hillel's Make It Happen Fund supports students in transforming their ideas into reality!
We encourage you to think big and think broadly. We're interested in innovative ideas that will create new opportunities for students to discover and connect to Jewish rituals, Jewish culture, and Jewish values.
We will fund your idea up to $250. Applications for a Make it Happen Fund grant are accepted on a rolling basis.
